Here is another heavily worked aquabord surface. This clown figure wears strange pants, does a balancing trick, and performs some magic.

INCISE

This was a practice in carving into the Aquabord (yes, that's how the nice people at Ampersand spell it.) This is a simple little scratchboard-like technique that's very effective.

I recently bought a couple Aquabord clay panels from Ampersand. These things are great! I can put down layer upon layer of interesting underpainting tones and not worry about the surface buckling.
